The vision of the Blackbridge Cricket Club Foundation is to create a lasting legacy that extends beyond the boundary of the cricket field. The Foundation seeks to use the power of cricket, sport, friendship and community to create opportunities, support people and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
The Foundation will embody the values that have shaped Blackbridge Cricket Club since its establishment, while creating a platform through which the club can give back to the communities, organisations and individuals who have supported its journey.
Our vision is to ensure that the Blackbridge story is not simply about the games we have played, the places we have travelled or the memories we have created, but about the positive impact we can leave behind.
The primary aim of the Blackbridge Cricket Club Foundation is to raise funds, awareness and support for worthwhile causes through cricket and the broader Blackbridge community.
The Foundation will provide opportunities for members, supporters, businesses and community partners to contribute to initiatives that improve participation in sport, support people in need, develop opportunities for young people, promote inclusion and strengthen community connections.
Through fundraising events, cricket matches, tours, partnerships, storytelling and other initiatives, the Foundation will seek to turn the relationships and opportunities created by Blackbridge Cricket Club into tangible benefits for others.
The Foundation will operate as the community and charitable arm of Blackbridge Cricket Club, developing and supporting initiatives that align with the club's values and purpose.
Its functions may include organising fundraising matches, charity events, dinners, auctions, raffles and other activities; developing partnerships with community organisations, sporting bodies and businesses; providing financial or practical assistance to individuals and organisations in need; and supporting initiatives that encourage greater participation and inclusion in cricket and sport.
The Foundation may also support young cricketers and emerging leaders, assist people who face barriers to participating in sport, contribute to community projects and provide assistance where there is a demonstrated need. Importantly, the Foundation will retain the flexibility to respond to particular causes or opportunities where Blackbridge can make a meaningful difference.
